Parents

The wheel of life turns as we move heedlessly on towards our final destination.

Inevitably the kids grow up, we get older and the old becomes the elderly. Its a promised thing and no one is spared.... not unless they die before their time.

And parents.... well now, they are a breed apart. in the minds of their children, they're almost invincible. parents are always there, strong & dependable.... and when you're younger, the thought of them being sick and needy never even cross your mind for how could it? they are after all our superduper heroes.

But of course with maturity comes the realization that they're only human after all.

Now the time has come to extend the same love & protection that they had once lavished upon us..... along with generous dollops of patience. just like the young, orang tua2 bila buat perangai boleh tahan la jugak. but our parents are our responsibility however difficult it may be. without them we wouldnt even be here so tis only right we be there for them when they need us.

For Abe and me, both our dad's have passed on but we still have our moms with us, though neither of them is in the best of health. this morning abe brought mek to the clinic for purging (she also suffers from hypertension & diabetes) while i stayed home keeping mak company (she still gets this on and off fevers). the passing years has certainly taken its toll on them, but i pray that god in his infinite mercy would grant them a relatively calm & peaceful existence. kesian sangat bila tenguk orang tua2 suffer...

Berbakti la kepada orang tua mu selagi peluang masih terbuka luas kerana sesalan itu tiada gunanya.
