Tak larat

Gawd i soooooo need to buy stuff for raya but....... tak larat la.

I didnt really think that having mak sick this year would really effect me that much. after all the boys are all grown and abe isnt home so there aint really all that much to do at home (dont have any maids since mak never got along with any of them and it became a stressful situation instead of a helpful one). but i guess i thought wrong.

Now its almost a week to raya and i havent gotten down to doing anything yet. the kiddoes raya wardrobe is still na-da (dah beso pun mama gak yang kena uruskan), the house is still a mess (where to start? help), and i havent even identified stuff that needs change or a makeover.

for example:
AH was terribly excited over the prospect of painting our awful mouldy looking front tembok but everyone seem to get all sleepy and wooozy after sahur right till the afternoon. and then it becomes too hot for any outside activities.

I would have prefered to go shopping the same hour complexes open for business but the kiddoes would rather leave after zohor ...... problem is so does everybody else and that means access and parking to such places were scarce, sometimes even impossible. try going to mid valley or one utama at such times and you'd probably get stuck in a massive jam. not a good idea especially during puasa when most malay drivers gets pissed off very easily (they're not supposed to but thats the glaring reality).

Then theres the spring cleaning.... curtains that should have been laundered last month (maybe i'll just dust them?), kitchen that needs to be cleared off all that ridiculous clutter, rooms to be properly dusted, raya paraphernalia to bring out, etcetera etcetera.

And on top of all that i dont wanna miss out on trying to meingindahkan my ramadhan al-mubarak.

Aduh....

So much to be done and so tak larat.
