Adhoc event?

..... ntah la but from the look of things macam tu la gayanya.

Majlis Anugerah Cemerlang Negeri Selangor 2008..... dirasmikan oleh YAB MB di anjurkan oleh jps/jab pendidikan selangor. and it had the trappings of a last minute scheme cooked up by some smart alecs in one of their 'aha' moments right in the middle of some dark murky nite.

Nobody seemed to know anything beyond the fact that the PMR 2007 straight As candidates were getting certificates and RM200 from the state government for their achievement..... and they're all supposed to be personally accompanied by parents or guardians as opposed to just their teachers. letters for parents were distributed friday and it didnt really clarify anything except the time involved i.e. 1pm to 6pm and venue i.e. stadium malawati shah alam. no programme or event highlights were included, bila tanya cikgu diorang pun tak tau thus the absolute confusion that ensued. total fiasco wa cakap sama luu.

Mana taknye awal2 lagi dah face traffic jam nak masuk kawasan parking stadium malawati. lucky thing i'm a shah alam native so tau la selok belok jalan n shortcut to worm my way out of the sea of cars. pastu after finally securing a parking space dah jam pulak kat entrance sebab kena daftar (without any visible instructions anywhere and kena pandai2 je sendiri). the problem with letting people make their own way is the danger of it turning into a free for all. true enough there was a lot of pushing n shoving, ngalahkan kambing but what would one expect when there was no shephards in sight to begin with?!!!!

It was a relieve to finally make our way to the main stadium area where the students were grouped together according to their respective schools and parents were relegated to the upper level seats. rupanya majlis proper was actually scheduled to start at 3pm but there we were, valiantly fighting off the fuzziness of sleep that was threatening to destroy our credibility as proud parents lol.

Kalau tak kerana nak raikan anak2 memang dah lama angkat kaki. kalau tak kerana nak raikan anak2 dah lama guling2 on the floor like a mad dog in fits of maniacal laughter.

Nak pilihanraya punya pasal macam2 ada. and bukannya tak berterima kasih tapi kalau dah nak buat tu, buat la betul-betul, biar terasa keikhlasan & kesungguhannya.
