..automobile accident. thank god all's well considering the circumstances. seribu syukur.
Perhaps a little lesson in humility was necessary.
No amount of advice or info sharing can ever really prepare us for our first brush with another vehicle or driver. its the ultimate reminder of our own vulnerability and mortality. yup, we're rudely reminded that this steel shell that we're safely enconsed in is actually just providing us with a VERY false sense of security. we're not invincible... in fact, we're actually not safe at all.
And we're totally at the mercy of the moment.
- we might be physically hurt from the impact (or die for that matter but lets just not go there)
- we might be verbally (or physically) abused by the other driver
- we might be manipulated or exploited by others who're always ready to take advantage
- we might even have to face the wrath of deranged individuals
Fact is you can never be in control of the situation because strangers are involved. even tho you do not want to be afraid of your own shadows, there is certainly a need to practice caution. on one hand you want to keep believing in humanity but you are also aware that its a mad mad world out there.
So.. the best thing to do is to cut down the possibilities of getting into such a situation in the first place. travel only when you need to.
Yup, travel only when necessary my darlings.
(Huh, and i'm actually saying this to hot-blooded young males with cars at their disposal?!)
And Abe, thank you so much for the support & understanding :)
