PMR Short Course

AH brought back a brochure she got from her teachers regarding a short course in UM for PMR students. she n a couple of her friends were interested and wanted to go... a 2 day course from 8.30am to 6.00pm @ RM95. i agreed altho i had my doubts about its effectiveness. do you blame me when the brochure itself read - the road to excellent - lol? aduh kan sepatutnya -the road to excellence- but being the person that i am so sangka baik la that its just a spelling error (but definitely a major boo boo on the part of the organizers).

The parents were taking turns. since there were 4 girls that meant we had a turn each in sending and fetching them. i was to start it off and had to make sure we left early and in time for registration. everyone congregated at my place and we managed to leave by 7.30am and was there within 15 mins. would u believe there wasnt any sign of activity at all at the designated place (dewan kuliah F, fakulti sastera, UM - according to the brochure)? of course we were early (we were the first to arrive) but the organizers should have already been there at least setting up the registration table/booth, or something. takkan registration pukul 8 datang pun pukul 8? but thats exactly what happened. they arrived at 8am and set themselves up at a slightly different venue.... jenuh la pulak kita yang datang awal ni nak terkocoh2 turun from the designated dewan to another area. nasib baik moi was in full gear and managed to still be the first in line, without having to shove n push but by just being faster than everybody else lol.

Hopefully the course content is better than all the present hiccups. bersangka baik. but i have this niggling feeling i'm going to be proven wrong.

After lunch the man and i decided to follow AF to his fave place in kl... low yat plaza, the otakus heaven. armed with RM2300.00, he was to buy a laptop for his housemate. takes a certain kind of person to let someone else make such an important purchase on their behalf. i dont think i would be able to do such a thing.... mesti nak tenguk2 n pegang2 sendiri before i spend so much money. agaknya terpaksa kot or diorang dah bincang habis2 sebelum ni.

Anyway, AF managed to get him a pretty good bargain at that big IT mart kat tingkat atas tu (i forgot the name of the place). a compaq @ RM2199.00 with everything as advertised as well as freebies thrown in by the store (which includes a mouse n thumbrive). he was so happy for his friend... and himself too bcos dia dapat bahan baru utk buat review (he does freelance online reviews and surprise, surprise.. gets paid for it lol).

I ended up a little pissed bcos my main mission for tagging along was to get a new pair of running shoes.... and that mission tak kesampaian. who would have thought a big nike outlet such as the one in berjaya time square only carry shoe sizes UK 5 and up? now what about smaller size feet hmmmmm? n nasib tak baik cek abe didnt want to go anywhere else but home. that dashed my hopes of doing the rounds in kl :( sedey tau tp kena la ikut cakap boss man kan.

Takpe theres always tomorrow.... he's playing golf and i will be on my own to shop n deliberate all i want lol.
