Of birthdays & sadly, accidents.

We were having a half hearted argument about the merits of going to kumon vs. not going to kumon, when abe (aka golfman aka hubba hubba aka love of my life) called about jireen's accident last nite. seems that he had smashed into a divider right after the putrajaya toll..... it was bad bcoz the car was completely totalled, scrap metal material. he was with a girl friend on their way back from a presentation or something.

When we saw him at the ward, his faced was all swollen and scary looking but alhamdulilllah, for a guy with head injury he was pretty lucid. his girl friend wasnt so lucky though coz she broke her jaw and the injury to her face was bad enough to warrant face reconstuction/plastic surgery or something of that nature. according to jireen, she was sleeping when they passed the toll and it was immediately after, that he suddenly felt everything going black on him and only came to upon impact. he still cant figure out what actually happened and probably wont ever, poor kid. i notice that people who are asleep during accidents always seem to have it the worst... i guess it's because we dont have that self-preservation reflex when we're sleeping.

He's pretty damn worried about her and completely wrecked with guilt. accidents are so tragic but in this case, looking at the state of the car he was driving.... it could have been much much worse.

Hope they both mend quickly and come away from this a better person.

So... let it be on the record that today is the day i hit the double four. yee haaaa !!!

Abe brought home this scrumptiously yummy choc cheesecake...... and notice his golf trophy in the background (nak ambik hati laaa, heheh) ?!! unfortunately kid no. 2 & 3 had kelas tambahan today (morning session for AI & afternoon session for AH) so mid-day, we had a very simple 'baca doa & cut the cake' session. and since we could only round up the brood by maghrib, we settled for a japanese dinner to celebrate. heh, still have the stinging, eye watering taste of wasabe on my tongue !!

Packed some for AF to share with his roomate... just saw him off the bus to sungei petani. he just loves taking the midnite bus, says time spent at home is too precious to waste (where else can he feed his otaku tendencies to the max if not at home ? lol).

.. but i've been noticing if i cross the 5 km mark, by the time i get to bed my creaky joints plus heels will be aching. probably due to kasut yg dah mati keanjalannye kot !!!!
