Prefects' Nite

Gee.. i dont remember my prefects' annual dinner to be as fancy as it can be these days. back then it was either the school hall or one of the classes and no matter how hard we tried to jazz the place up, it still looked exactly the same - a drab classroom lol. Tapi skarang - wow!!

For years the prefects of SMK Sekyen 9, Shah Alam have been having their annual dinner at KGSAS. a far cry from a school hall is all i can say lol but AI has been complaining that its time they changed venue. dah boring katanya. hmmm.. i'm thinking variety is good tapi klu kena dewan sekolah je lagi naya so, bersyukur lah.

This year AI's not going alone... earlier this year AH was also appointed a prefect. lucky girl.. to have big bro around to show her the ropes. it also means peace of mind for me to have AI looking out for her bcoz being a prefect in secondary 1 can be pretty challenging. silap2 kena bully dgn seniors.

Neeways, my 2 sweethearts (sweetheart yg sorang lagi has not moved from the puter xcept for necessities... nak siapkan coursework sebab esok dah nak kena balik SP) all dressed up and ready to go (AH was shrieking "oh noooooooooooooo" when she saw me with the clicker lol).

AI actually wanted a tie the same colour as Ah's blouse tapi couldnt find the right shade. i was surprised they wanted to be colour coordinated.. rather than considering it 'uncool' to be associated with a sibling, they wanted to highlight it ! now i thought that was cool lol

shhhh... i 'cilok'ed this pic from their collection ;)

AH & friends during a dance

And at home right after..

still my lil girl after all with the party balloon lol

with abg arin, AF's best friend and just like another son to me (notice that AF is still glued to the puter lol)

Prefects' annual dinner at KGSAS?

That's a far cry from the prefects' annual dinner during MY school days, too. And those days weren't too long ago, actually.

The only glamorous (well, as glamourous as secondary school could get) was the Senior Prom.

But prefects' annual dinner used to consist of a small cake-cutting ceremony and lots of junk food and paper plates and cups, in the near dilapidated Perfects' Room.

My, how times changed. O__o
